What is a browser and how is it helpful in conducting online research?
Help with this?
The Web is accessed through a software program called a browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, and others. These browsers can be used with any Internet service. Browsers enable computers to roam the Web. They also make it possible to copy text from Web sites and paste it into a word-processing document. With a browser, you can download images, software, and documents to your computer. Finally, with a browser you can limit your search to the document that appears in your window. This last feature is most helpful when the document is long and your time is short.
