What is intersectionality? Name one group, political movement, or protest that failed to highlight intersectionality. How would the group you mention benefit from greater intersectionality?

What will be an ideal response?

Answers will vary but should include a definition of intersectionality as the idea that members of any given minority group are affected by the nature of their position in other systems or other forms of social inequality. Students may use a variety of examples. One example students may use is the Women's March, which was a worldwide protest calling for greater legislation and policies centered on women's rights. Proponents of the Women's March cited that it was dominated by white women, and that it failed to include women of color. Women of color experience greater hardships in society because they are "double minorities." Proponents believed that the march needed to highlight the struggles experienced by women of color to be true advocates for women's rights.
