Describe the main difference between proteins and amino acids

What will be an ideal response?

Amino acids are the building blocks or fundamental units of proteins. An amino acid consists of carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen. All amino acids contain a central carbon surrounded by a side chain carboxylic acid (COOH), a hydrogen, and an amine group (NH2). Proteins are large molecules which are made up of chains of amino acids. Proteins and amino acids are found in all living cells. All proteins in the body consist of a unique combination of up to 20 different amino acids and are classified according to the number of amino acids in the chain. Proteins typically contain between 100 and 10,000 amino acids in a sequence.
