Explain the difference between middle-ear and inner-ear deafness.

What will be an ideal response?

Inner-ear deafness is called nerve deafness. It results from damage to the cochlea, the hair cells, or the auditory nerve. Middle-ear deafness is also called conductive deafness and is sometimes temporary. It is caused when the middle ear cannot properly send the sound information to the inner-ear (e.g., an infection).
