Discuss the values of honesty, loyalty, and fairness in the PRSA Member Code of Ethics 2000
What will be an ideal response?
• Honesty boils down to telling the truth, to not lying. It requires a tactful diplomatic but emphatic "no" when a client asks for "embellishment" of facts.
• Loyalty means remaining constant in obligations to current clients even in the face of competing clients offering more money to do work for them.
• Fairness means dealing fairly with employers, competitors, peers, vendors, the media, and the general public. It also means respecting all opinions and supporting the right of free expression.
