Relate Seyferts to spirals
What will be an ideal response?
Both have spiral arms, but the nucleus of a Seyfert is much brighter than a normal spiral, and it has quasar-like emission lines and synchrotron radiation from an active central engine more powerful than normal nuclei.

AC Generator: An ac generator contains 80 flat rectangular loops of wire, each of which is 12 cm long and 8 cm wide. The loops rotate at 1200 rpm about an axis through the center and parallel to the long side. If the magnetic field in which the loop rotates is uniform, has magnitude 0.30 T, and is perpendicular to the axis of rotation, what will be the maximum output voltage of this generator?
A. 20 V B. 27 V C. 29 V D. 35 V
A string is wrapped tightly around a fixed pulley that has a moment of inertia of 0.0352 kg ? m2 and a radius of 12.5 cm. A mass of 423 g is attached to the free end of the string
With the string vertical and taut, the mass is gently released so it can descend under the influence of gravity. As the mass descends, the string unwinds and causes the pulley to rotate, but does not slip on the pulley. What is the speed of the mass after it has fallen through 1.25 m? A) 2.00 m/s B) 2.28 m/s C) 1.97 m/s D) 3.94 m/s E) 4.95 m/s
