Describe the two major types of generalized seizures.

What will be an ideal response?

Partial seizures originate in an identifiable part of the brain (the focus or focal area) and then spread outward. Generalized seizures do not appear to have a focus or clear point of origin and affect both sides of the brain symmetrically. Some partial seizures are preceded by an aura, or premonition of the impending seizure. In some cases, the aura involves sensory distortions, whereas in others, it is simply the sense that a seizure will occur soon. Generalized seizures typically are not accompanied by an aura.
