What will be an ideal response?
Motif refers to the appearance of the overall image in design. Motif establishes the look and form of the theme. If the theme is winter, a snowflake motif could be used to convey the theme. Three classifications of motif are nonobjective, having no referent to the real world. Nonobjective images are comprised of geometric or natural forms. Abstract images are distorted or simplified objects from the real world. Realistic imagery replicates the real world in a descriptive manner.
