Cite the evidence that Earth's climate is warming due to human activities

What will be an ideal response?

There is a strong correlation between the level of atmospheric carbon dioxide and an increase in global average temperature. Figure 27.32 shows this correlation. Since 1850, the increase in atmospheric carbon dioxide has been attributable to human activities, especially the burning of fossil fuels that powered the Industrial Revolution. Thus, the increase in global average temperature that corresponds to this carbon dioxide increase is human-caused.
