Describe the plastering process in general.

What will be an ideal response?

Plaster is applied to base material with a hand trowel. In one hand, the plasterer holds a square, flat tool called a hawk. The hawk holds a supply of plaster, which is removed with a trowel and applied to the wall. Plaster may also be applied by a spraying process.Various accessories are used with plaster finishes, much as is described for drywall. Typical among these are casing beads, external corner beads, flexible corner beads, and expansion joints.
