What are the main objections to traffic enforcement?
What will be an ideal response?
The first objection is that it is often seen as a huge waste of police resources and resulting in negative relationships with citizens. It is often seen as a tax revenue producer in those states that allow municipalities to retain revenues from traffic fines. On the other hand we are a nation that is socially and economically tied to auto transportation and thus police departments will always be involved in traffic enforcement. History has shown that traffic stops with modern information technology available may lead to good arrests and prosecutions.
