Explain how using teaching standards can help your teaching and what elements you would choose to apply

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: Using standards as a foundation makes the teacher's job easier. Teaching standards allow the new teacher to prioritize instruction as well as direct focus. They assist in initial assessment of students by providing a template for levels of student competency. Using this information, it is easier to select materials and activities to include in the classroom.
