Explain the difference between a no-treatment control group and a placebo control group
What will be an ideal response?
A no-treatment control group is simply left alone and literally does not receive any treatment. A placebo control group, on the other hand, receives an artificial treatment that looks like a real treatment but actually has no effect. Thus, the participants in a placebo control group think that they are receiving a treatment when they really are not.
