Explain the three decision making methods and the advantages and disadvantages of each

What will be an ideal response?

Decisions made by the leader of the group is a quick and simple way to accomplish goals. However, this method
may cause resentment by group members and reduce group cohesion. Decisions made by majority occur when
every member of the group gets a chance to vote for the solution of their choice. The solution with the most votes
wins. The advantage to this method is that everyone gets a vote but the disadvantage is that some in the group will
lose. As a result, cohesiveness and commitment may suffer. Decisions made by consensus is the genuine agreement
among members that an appropriate decision has been made. The disadvantage of this type of decision making is
that some members may feel forced to go along with the group. The group members may not really agree with the
?nal solution.
