WHO grades tumors from Grade I (least serious) to Grade IV (most serious). A Grade I tumor is benign, slow-growing and responsive to surgery. A Grade I tumor is malignant, but slow-growing. A Grade III tumor is malignant and requires more aggressive treatment than Grade II tumors and Grade IV tumors are rapidly fatal.
