Do broken furnace supports require immediate shutdown of the furnace?
What will be an ideal response?
Broken supports tend to fall to the furnace floor. Missing supports or guides will result in tubes sagging or bowing. The fallen supports or guides may hit a burner, damaging it. Furnaces do not need to be shut down immediately but it will eventually need to be shutdown for repair.
