Evaluate the probability that women will leave the workforce and return to full-time housewives
What will be an ideal response?
Although the surge of women into the workforce is slowing, women who have tasted the satisfaction and affluence of a paycheck will probably not return to being full-time housewives. Many appear to be working not so much because of financial need but because they are interested in their jobs. They enjoy their work and get satisfaction and self-esteem from it. The reason they may return would be because it is hard to maintain the "supermom" image and there is publicity about the problems of children that may cause them to return to full-time mothering.
