Imagine you are a defense attorney and your client is being tried for murder. After reviewing the case with your client, you tell him that you believe it's in his best interest not to testify to avoid self-incrimination. Your client wants to testify though. You believe that, during cross-examination, there may be evidence brought forward that would work against your client. He says he's innocent, though, so there is nothing that can work against him. You think that his story may not sound believable. At this point, what would you do, and why?

What will be an ideal response?
