Attitudes are learned and long lasting, and they might develop over a long period of time, though they can also abruptly change. Astute students will include consideration of the three components: cognitive, affective, and behavioral. From the marketer's perspective, attitudes influence the decision-making process. At a minimum, the marketer should know what prevailing attitudes are, and how they might affect the overall process.
