In order to make literacy learning experiences accessible to all children in the classroom, teachers also need to make accommodations for the tremendous diversity that is present in today's classrooms. On-going assessment and performance sampling provide opportunities for teachers to determine how children understand new materials and allow teachers to adjust materials and instruction to better suit the needs of the child.
