Describe the organization of the nervous system

What will be an ideal response?

The nervous system is organized into the central nervous system (CNS), consisting of the brain and spinal cord, and the peripheral nervous system (PNS) consisting of nerve fibers that carry information between the CNS and other parts of the body.?Further divisions include the afferent division of the PNS carries information to the CNS. Instructions from the CNS are transmitted via the efferent division to effector organs (muscles or glands). The efferent division is further divided into the somatic nervous system, which consists of motor neurons that supply the skeletal muscles, and the autonomic nervous system fibers, which innervate smooth muscle, cardiac muscle, and glands. In addition to the CNS and PNS, the enteric nervous system is an extensive nerve network in the wall of the digestive tract.
