Explain how inductance is used in the operation of a transformer

What will be an ideal response?

Inductance occurs when the AC sine wave in the primary winding of a transformer creates a strong magnetic field with a large number of flux lines. When the AC sine wave collapses, the flux lines collapse and cut across the secondary windings. When this occurs, voltage is induced into the secondary winding.
