Discuss worldview and how it is related to therapy.

What will be an ideal response?

All psychotherapists have a worldview based on their family, culture, and life experiences. Therapists should examine their worldview when they have strong reactions to clients, feel uneasy about certain clients, or they experience conflicting cultural values or cultural countertransference. Therapists who explore their own worldview are in a better position to change how they interact with their clients. According to Pedersen (2000), counselors who are unaware of their own worldview are encapsulated.
