List and briefly explain the three dangers of self?disclosure

What will be an ideal response?

There are several potential pitfalls related to selfdisclosure. The first is the personal
risk involved. Selfdisclosure could cause anger or other negative emotions in the listener, or
the listener could choose to use the information disclosed to our detriment. Second, selfdisclosure can involve relational risks. We may end up getting rejected, or the information may
cause the other person to see us in a negative light. Finally, selfdisclose also involves
professional risks. Revealing information about ourselves could lead to work sanctions or even
dismissal.
