How can we prevent problems from occurring in laboratories that lead to lost cases?
What will be an ideal response?
First, there must be a quality check on the substances that come into the laboratory. Proper chain of custody must have been observed at all times. Whoever receives substances into the laboratory to be analyzed should double-check to be sure that proper documentation accompanies the samples. Second, only qualified, well-trained individuals should be hired into laboratory positions and individuals who are already employed should constantly update their skills. Third, proper handling procedures should be put into place and followed. Along with this, the laboratory should not be an open environment. Fourth, all procedures, tests, and results must be fully documented.
