Engagement in assessment practices to obtain current levels for students. Focus on academic as well as social and behavioral. Develop a profile from collected data. (c) Stage 3: Intervention Recommendations. Interventions are recommended that can be easily integrated into the program by the teacher. Additional students may be identified at this time to create groups based on level of need. (d) Stage 4: Implementation of Recommendations. Move forward with recommendations and the special education teacher may take on the lead role or the classroom teacher may take on the lead, based on who has more expertise in the area of need. (e) Stage 5: Evaluation. Monitor student progress and the overall effectiveness of interventions.
