Discuss the group decision-making process of appellate court judges.

What will be an ideal response?

Unlike trial court judges, who typically preside alone over their courts and issue unilateral rulings, appellate court judges participate in a group decision-making process. Depending on the level of the court and the importance of the issues involved in the case, there may be three, five, seven, nine, or more judges who cast votes in the case.
