In what way(s) could placing more women in leadership positions and paying more attention to the issues affecting women and children change the international political landscape?

What will be an ideal response?

The transformations of security, and especially the increasing importance of human security, mean that the roles of women and children, and the effects of world politics on them, have become increasingly central to international relations. There is no issue or dimension of world politics that does not include these concerns in some way. Yet women continue to be horribly underrepresented in the highest levels of government, international organizations, management levels of corporations, and so on. Their absence may have a significant impact on the nature of decisions that are made by these players. In particular, women may be more likely to oppose the use of violence, and in particular weapons that pose a danger to women and children such as cluster munitions and land mines. They may also pay more attention to addressing economic and social conditions that force women and children to flee their homes as refugees.
