What are the challenges presented by street theatre? What purpose does it serve?

What will be an ideal response?

Street theatre brings performance to the people, and therefore it is often used by theatre companies with political or social agendas. Because street theatre must coerce passersby into becoming audience members, artists must use compelling theatrical devices—music, spectacle, masks, costumes, dancing, or confrontation—to engage with the public. Such theatre is limited in its use of text and mostly comprises simple short scenes.
