Identify two things a teacher can do to diminish or solve classroom conflict and explain why you would try these first
What will be an ideal response?
Answer may vary, but explanation should be similar to the following. To resolve a classroom conflict as a beginning teacher, I would first acknowledge that a conflict exists in order to let the students know that you are aware of the problem. I would then focus on the problem. This would show students that I am more interested in a resolution than immediately trying to affix blame for the problem. It also would indicate that several factors may be to blame and I am more concerned with the problem, not the individual.
