Describe electrical noise and how it is generated.
What will be an ideal response?
Electrical noise is generated whenever inductive loads such as relays, solenoids, motor starters, and motors are operated by “hard contacts” such as push buttons, selector switches, and relay contacts. The noise, or high transient voltages (spikes), is caused by the collapsing magnetic field when the inductive device is switched OFF.
