Discuss, using examples, the importance of ethical considerations during the write-up and presentation of research results. Discuss the two ethical considerations that researchers must consider as they present their research findings.

What will be an ideal response?

Ans: It is in the results section that the data may be misrepresented or manipulated so it can be attractive and worthy of publication. Although it may feel like you are not violating the rights of any person by tweaking the findings just a little, by misrepresenting the results you are drawing inaccurate relationships between constructs that may create misguidance for the scientific community. In other words, you are violating the rights of an entire community—not just one specific person. Regardless of the circumstances, exaggerating, misrepresenting, tweaking (such as ignoring missing data or other seemingly harmless changes), or any other intentional modification of the results is a form of deception and highly unethical for the entire scientific community.
