What is the relationship among management, leadership, and directing?
What will be an ideal response?
Management is the process of planning, organizing, directing, staffing, and controlling that is used in order to achieve organizational objectives in an efficient manner. Management is a positional concept whereas leadership is not. Leadership involves the actual influencing of others. We want our managers to be leaders, but not all leaders are managers. Directing is the managerial function, and as such is positional, which involves issuing directives, assignments, and instructions.
