How have concerns about the environment been raised in globalized political entities and in international diplomatic debates?

What will be an ideal response?

One of the strongest arguments against globalization by many is that globalization promotes a free-market economy in underdeveloped nations without requiring any accountability for environmental damage. Scientists have linked industrialization to the greenhouse effect and are worried about global warming. One of the significant attempts to reach an agreement on reducing greenhouse gas emissions was proposed in the Kyoto Accord, signed by 160 nations in 1997 . The significant omission is the United States, which produces the largest proportion of greenhouse gasses in the world. Because there is no authoritative body to enforce compliance with this proposal, the measure is effectively useless without voluntary cooperation.
