What relationship did Mithraism have with Christianity?

What will be an ideal response?

Technically there was no relationship, but there were some similarities and many people thought there were overlaps in the religions that made them interchangeable. For example, the Persian sun cult utilized similar rituals and beliefs in moral behavior, group worship, communal meals, and baptism, albeit in the blood of a bull. Mithras's birthday was also December 25, as was Jesus's, per Christian belief, giving rise to the idea that Christians worshipped the sun as well as the Son. A significant difference, however, was that Mithraism excluded women from participation.
