What will be an ideal response?
Where is the data clustered? Students are frequently not good at analyzing the data to draw conclusion about the population. By drawing their attention to a value that shows up a lot, perhaps this could help them to make a conjecture about the population.
Would the results be different if we surveyed the students at the high school, instead of in our elementary school? If so, how? How could we test this theory? Making and testing conjectures is a fundamentally important skill in all mathematics, including data analysis.
