Kinesic communication is a complex form of nonverbal interactions that include body language, facial expressions, and gestures. Dr. Ray L. Birdwhistell is one of the earliest to investigate the relevancy of body motion as nonverbal communication. Credited with having coined the term “kinesics,” he argued that communication is the process of socialization to be human. Sometimes a kinesic shift occurs due to special experiences or mental distortion. It can be imitated and predicted.
