In what ways can a prosecutor influence sentence length?

What will be an ideal response?

Answer: The prosecutor could stress/highlight the defendant's bad qualities and other evidence to help support their case that got them convicted. They can bring up their criminal history (if they have one) to paint them as a "bad guy". Another tactic they use is using other people's words against the defendant, such as the victim's family, people from the community, and childhood friends etc. The factors can, for many reasons, influence someone's sentence length given by the judge.
