Answer: It is human nature to be inquisitive of our surroundings, whether it is about why something grows here or why earthquakes occur. Geology helps explain these natural phenomena. However, geology has even more important uses! Geology teaches us economically viable uses of almost all of our resources! From distribution of drinking water to the drilling of oil that gets us about on the Earth, geology is the basis of it all.
