What happens when a plant has ‘foolish seedling’ disease? What will be an ideal response?

In this disease, the fungus Gibberella fujikuroi infects rice. The fungus produces a chemical called
gibberellin, a mimic of a plant hormone. Gibberellin causes nodes to elongate - a natural growth
process. However, the fungus exposes to the plant to so much hormone that the plant grows beyond its
ability to support itself and falls over.
