What is a Chicano gang?

What will be an ideal response?

Chicano gangs consist of Puerto Ricans, Central Americans and Mexican Americans. Puerto Rican gangs are concentrated mostly in the Midwestern and northeastern part of the country, areas that have been particularly hard hit economically during the past several decades because of deindustrialization. Consequently these gangs have turned increasingly to drug dealing and other illegal economic activities. In contrast, Central American gangs have been spared the devastation of deindustrialization and are more concerned with territory or "turf" and much less organized. Mexican American gangs are also concerned with territory but more importantly are concerned with family and traditions passed through many generations. Yet they too have been hard hit by the recent economic problems.
