What role do assessments have in lesson planning?
What will be an ideal response?
They go hand in hand. Teachers should think about the following when forming assessments to meet the lesson objectives and goals. Assessments should align with what is taught, which should align with your curriculum goals or standards. Identify assessment before you begin teaching a unit. Remember textbooks tests are not always the best assessment to use. Make sure assessments match curriculum goals. Students should know why and how they are being assessed. And finally, students show their knowledge and skills in different ways; plan appropriately for your students learning styles.
