Marketing is determining the need for services in the area and creating a company that fills those needs. Advertising is creating information that tells potential patients that the medical facility is in the area and is ready to see patients.
When dealing with the revenue cycle, if the company is not marketable in the area, then the advertising will not work, and the company will be spending money for no reason. Losing money can damage the revenue cycle and the practice and can result in a negative bottom line.
