Briefly describe the process involved in conducting a cursory check of shock absorbers.

What will be an ideal response?

First, check to see that the vehicle sits level and does not sag to one side. Then push down on each of the vehicle's bumpers to check resistance of the shocks. Do not press on the fenders. They can become greasy and might get dented when you press on them. Normal shocks will allow the spring to rebound only once.
