Briefly describe 6to4 tunneling.
What will be an ideal response?
6to4 is another IPv4-to-IPv6 transition technology that allows IPv6 packets to be sent across IPv4 network infrastructures, including the IPv4 Internet, without explicitly configuring IPv6-over-IPv4 tunnels. The current specification for 6to4 is documented in RFC 3056, which defines a method for assigning an interim and unique IPv6 address prefix to any site that already possesses one or more globally unique IPv4 addresses and can specify an encapsulation method for sending IPv6 packets over IPv4 using the unique prefix address. The RFC 3056 specifications apply to sites rather than to individual network nodes and scale indefinitely by limiting the number of sites that are served by special relay routers.
