Explain the key features of municipal governments and townships.

What will be an ideal response?

Municipal governments are self-governing political jurisdictions created by states to provide goods and services to densely populated areas within the state. Municipal governments include city, borough, and town governments. These governments provide day-to-day services and benefits to citizens. Townships, which also deliver day-to-day services, are units of government that serve people living outside municipalities, in rural areas where the population is more dispersed than in areas served by municipal governments.
