How would you remove the driveshaft?

What will be an ideal response?

There are several considerations when removing a driveshaft:
- Mark the rear differential yoke and the companion flange so they can be replaced in the same position during reassembly.
- Unbolt the rear U-joint from the differential companion flange.
- Pry the rear U-joint forward, away from the differential.
- Wrap tape around the U-joint cups so they cannot fall off the U-joint cross.
- On a two-piece driveshaft, unbolt the center support bearing. Be sure to mark both halves of the shaft in the center near the splines. The shaft will be out of phase if it comes apart and is not reassembled correctly. This will cause a serious vibration.
- The driveshaft yoke can now slip out of the transmission. Oil will leak, so take precautions beforehand.
