Define "stream power." What is the link between stream power and sediment deposition?

What will be an ideal response?

Stream power is the ability of a stream to do work, or to expend energy to erode and transport sediment. When stream power decreases, sediments are no longer eroded and transported, and instead those sediments carried by the stream are deposited.
