Explain how proprioceptors work

What will be an ideal response?

Proprioceptors allow the central nervous system to monitor the body’s position and help keep the body
in balance. They are slow to adapt, so that body position and balance are constantly monitored. Your
body can detect and adjust to changes in weight on the body so that it stays in balance, that is
proprioceptors allow your body to compensate unconsciously.
