Why is a compass sometimes used as a symbol for authentic leadership?
What will be an ideal response?
Ans: Students may answer using the idea that core values always point an authentic leader in the direction of his/her behaviors--that leaders know who they are and where they’re going. Or students may answer using the idea that self-discipline is like a compass causing a leader to be consistent in his/her focus, using an “inner” compass. Students may also use the term “True North” in their answers.
